"Difficult to see. Always in motion is the future."

This classic quote from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back conveys the spirit of disaster recovery operations.

Welcome to the Disaster Response Game

You have three choices in how to play the game:

  • Single Player: In this mode, you control all the responsibility roles from a single browser window. (Recommended for beginners)
  • Multi-Player Existing: In this mode, your instructor or a team-mate will provide you with a secret code to join an existing multi-player game. You will enter this code together with a player number. You will be given a subset of the responsibility roles to control from your browser window. You will communicate by chat and other means with the other players.
  • Multi-Player New: In this mode, you design a multi-player session (assigning responsibility roles to different players) and obtain a secret code to play the game. Pass this code to your team-mates and let them know which player number each of them should use.

To join an existing session, enter the session ID below and click the "Test Connection" button. You will receive a confirmation message from the server if the session exists.

Players are team members who log into the same session and take on different role responsibilities. You must coordinate your actions with them.

You can assign responsibility roles to players below.

To start fresh with a new session, click the "Request New Session" button. This will reset the session. Be sure to share the new session ID with your teammates.

One team member (and one only) must register the game for this session.
